LogisX, Inc. collects information when you engage with our mobile applications, websites, and other interactions related to our services (collectively referred to as the "Services"). This includes information collected during app downloads, website usage, account creation or registration, and other activities involving our Services.

Section 1 

Scope and Application

This Privacy Policy (referred to as the "Policy") applies to all users of our Services, collectively known as "Users" or individually as "you." This includes carriers, commercial drivers, and dispatchers. Our Policy solely covers our websites, services, products, and applications as defined in our Terms of Service. It does not extend to third-party websites, services, products, or applications, even if they are offered through our Services or our Site. Unless explicitly defined in this Privacy Policy, capitalized terms retain the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.

Section 2 

Collection of Information

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information directly from you when you create, modify, or log into your account, seek support, or communicate with us in any way. This includes interactions with our Services as a commercial driver or carrier dispatcher, where you may provide information such as your name, email, phone number, postal address, profile picture, payment details, vehicle registration and insurance information, driver's license data, and any additional information you choose to share.

Information We Collect Through Your Use of the Services

Depending on how you use our Services, we may gather information about you in the following categories:

  1. Location Information: To provide our services to commercial drivers, we require access to precise location data. If you grant the LogisX app permission to access location services through your mobile operating system, we collect your device's exact location. We may also derive an approximate location from your IP address or phone number and receive location data from third parties.

  2. Device Information: We may collect information about the devices you use to access our Services, including details like hardware model, operating system version, software versions, preferred language, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion data, and mobile network information.

  3. Photos: Our Services may request access to your device's camera for photographing and uploading documents related to Shipment requests, like insurance certificates, bills of lading, and delivery proofs. You may also upload images of cargo or other relevant documents.

  4. Transaction Information: We gather transaction details related to your Service usage, including Service type, usage date and time, payment amounts, distance traveled, and other related transaction information.

  5. Usage and Preference Information: We collect data on how you and site visitors interact with our Services, including preferences and settings. This may involve cookies, pixel tags, and similar identification technologies used for improving our Services and your experience. Please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to cookies used by our partners, affiliates, or third parties. You should review their privacy policies when using their products and services.

  6. Call and SMS Data: Our Services facilitate communications between Users, including phone calls or SMS messages. In doing so, we may receive call data, including call or SMS date and time, phone numbers of the parties involved, and message content.

  7. Log Information: We collect information about your Service usage, including browser or app versions, access timestamps, viewed features or pages, crashes, IP addresses, and the page you visited before accessing our Services.

  8. Information from Children: Our Services are intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If such information is inadvertently obtained, we take steps to remove it from our records and systems.

Information We Collect From Other Sources

We may receive information from other sources and combine it with the data collected through our Services, such as:

  • For commercial drivers, information from carriers, third parties, or other Users.

  • Information from other Users, including carriers, shippers, or third parties, concerning your location, driver ratings, or service-related feedback provided through the LogisX app and/or website.

  • Information about commercial drivers or carriers from regulatory bodies like the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

  • When you link, create, or log into your LogisX app or web account via payment providers (e.g., Google Wallet) or social media services (e.g., Facebook), or interact with apps or websites using our API, we may receive information about you or your connections from these platforms.

 

Section 3 

Use of Information

We may supplement the information we collect from you with data from other sources, including verification services (e.g., for insurance or regulatory compliance checks), credit bureaus, and publicly available sources.

We utilize the information we collect to deliver and enhance our Services. This includes using your phone number to contact you and send SMS messages regarding potential and ongoing Shipments. We may also use the collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services, which involves facilitating payments, sending receipts, offering products and services, developing new features, delivering customer support, creating safety features, authenticating Users, and sending product updates and administrative messages.

  • Track the status and location of shipments, as well as gather information on your Service usage.

  • Enable communications between you and other Users, such as estimated delivery times.

  • Send you communications about products, services, shipments, promotions, news, and events from LogisX and other companies, where permitted by local laws.

  • Customize and enhance our Services by providing or suggesting shipments, features, content, social connections, referrals, and advertisements.

  • Identify, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activities and other unlawful transactions, protecting the rights and property of LogisX and others.

In such cases, we implement suitable measures to safeguard your personal information in accordance with this Policy.

 

Section 4

Sharing of Information

We may share the information we collect about you in alignment with this Policy or as disclosed during collection or sharing with other Users of our Services and various third parties, including:

  • With other Users or third parties involved in transportation services arranged by LogisX. This may include sharing your name, personal photo, vehicle details, precise or approximate location, and select contact information (subject to location and applicable laws).

  • With third parties to provide a service you requested through a partnership or promotional offering.

  • With the public when you submit content in public forums, like blog comments and social media posts.

  • With third parties you authorize us to share information with, such as other apps or websites integrating with our API or Services.

We may also share your information with:

  • Vendors, consultants, marketing partners, and service providers necessary to conduct work on our behalf or provide services, including analytics service providers that help us improve our Services.

  • In response to lawful requests by competent authorities if we believe it complies with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.

  • Law enforcement agencies, government authorities, or other third parties when we believe your actions violate our user agreements or policies or jeopardize the rights, property, or safety of LogisX or others.

  • In connection with corporate events such as mergers, asset sales, consolidations, financings, or acquisitions.

  • Among LogisX, our parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and companies under common control.

  • In an aggregated and anonymized form that cannot reasonably identify you.

Social Sharing Features:

The Services may include social sharing features that allow you to share actions taken on our Services with other apps, sites, or media and vice versa. Your use of these features may involve sharing information with others based on your established settings with the social sharing service. Refer to the privacy policies of these social sharing services for more details on how they manage the data you provide or share.

Analytics and Advertising Services Provided by Others:

We may permit third parties to provide audience measurement, analytics, and advertisement services on our behalf, both on our site and across the Internet. These entities may employ cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and other technologies to identify your device when using our Services and when visiting other online sites and services.

 

Section 5

Your Choices Regarding Your Information

Modifying Your Account Information

You can update your account information at any time by logging into your online or in-app account. If you wish to close your account, please email us at support@LogisX.com. Be aware that, in some instances, we may need to retain specific information as required by law or for legitimate business reasons as permitted by law. For example, if you have an outstanding credit or debt on your account or if we suspect fraudulent activity or a violation of our terms of service, we may need to address the matter before deleting your information.

Access, Correction, and Deletion Rights

LogisX will honor requests for accessing, correcting, and/or deleting personal data stored in accordance with applicable laws.

Location Information

Our app may request permission to collect precise location data from your device, as determined by your mobile and/or web operating system's permission system. If you initially grant this permission, you can later disable it by adjusting the location settings on your mobile device. Please note that disabling our collection of precise location data will render the LogisX app unusable. However, this action will not restrict our ability to approximate your location using your IP address.

Contacts Information

We may also seek permission to collect and sync contact information from your device, based on your mobile operating system's permission system. If you initially allow this, iOS users can later disable it by adjusting the contact settings on your mobile device. Some Android devices may not offer this setting.

Promotional Communications

You have the option to opt out of receiving promotional messages by following the instructions in those messages. Even if you choose to opt out, we may still send non-promotional communications, such as those related to your account, requested services, or our ongoing business relationship.

Changes to the Policy

This Policy may be updated periodically. Your continued use of our Services following any changes implies your consent to the modified terms. We encourage you to check this Policy periodically for the latest information on our privacy practices.

Security

LogisX employs reasonable measures to safeguard your information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
